Pumpehuset occupies a former 19th-century pump station near Copenhagen City Hall, repurposed as a concert hall that also runs as a late-night club on weekends. Its regular programme spans live concerts, touring bands and multi-genre bookings, with outside electronic promoters regularly taking over on weekend nights for house, techno and broader club-oriented lineups. The building's original industrial architecture is retained inside a converted concert-hall layout, giving Pumpehuset a larger-capacity setting than most of the city's dedicated club rooms. Byhaven is Pumpehuset's own area for free-entry pop-up parties, running its own recurring line-up of daytime and early-evening electronic events distinct from the venue's main ticketed concert programme. Because electronic programming shares the calendar with concerts and other genres rather than running every night, Pumpehuset functions as an occasional but consistent electronic venue rather than a full-time club.
