KALEIDOSCOPE præsenterer

About

KALEIDOSCOPE presents: Martial Canterel is the alias of Brooklyn-based musician Sean McBride, who is also known for his work with the cult synth duo Xeno & Oaklander. Since the early 2000s, he has created an uncompromising and distinctive electronic universe, where avant-garde, minimal synth, industrial and early new wave merge into dark, hypnotic and highly danceable compositions. Drawing inspiration from the first waves of European minimal electronics as well as industrial pioneers such as Throbbing Gristle and SPK, Martial Canterel combines raw mechanical energy with melodic finesse and cool elegance. Everything is created and performed exclusively using analogue synthesisers, sequencers and drum machines, giving the music a physical intensity and a pulsating energy that really comes into its own in a live setting. His releases on labels such as Dais Records, Medical Records, Onderstroom and Wierd Records have established Martial Canterel as a prominent figure on the international underground scene, where his dark synth anthems and noisy pop universe have built up a dedicated following in both Europe and North America. Expect an intense concert experience with cold beats, analogue soundscapes and dark electronic ecstasy. Support: TBA
