Aïta Mon Amour consists of Moroccan rap pioneer Widad Mjama and Khalil Epi, a prominent figure on the Arab electronic music scene. Together, they reinterpret the centuries-old aïta tradition — a raw and poetic rural blues carried by the chikhates, who have historically been strong and independent female singers.
